Frequently Asked Questions

Is Tigerlily Training an Approved Training Company?

Yes; we are very proud of our Edexcel Approved Training Centre status. We also hold Centre Approval from Qualsafe Awards and Highfield and are Local Authority Approved.

We are the only Paediatric First Aid Training Company in the UK to deliver an Edexcel Accredited Practical/E-Learning Paediatric First Aid Course.

Also did you know that the HSE doesn't and hasn't ever approved Paediatric First Aid Courses - any companies advertising their Paediatric First Aid Courses as being HSE Approved is making a false and inaccurate claim!

What time does the practical course start?

The Practical Course starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm - those who are also completing the anaphylaxis training will stay on till 4.30pm

Who are your trainers?

We have approximately 40 trainers who deliver courses for us across the UK.  All of our trainers are specialists in Paediatric First Aid and many have a childcare/nursing or paramedic background.

Do your combined E-Learning courses meet OFSTED and EYFS guidelines?

Yes; our 6 Hr Intensive Course fulfils all criteria for OFSTED Voluntary Register and our 12 hr Course meets all guidelines for OFSTED Mandatory Register and EYFS.

Will I be asked to complete an assessment?

Yes; there is a low-stress practical assessment and you will be asked to complete a simple and quick online assessment after completing your course. Don't worry, you will be supported through this process.

How does the E-Learning section work?

If you have selected our 12 hour or BTEC Level 2 Paediatric First Aid Course you need to firstly attend our 6 hour Practical Course and then complete 6 hours of online training. Once the practical course is completed you will receive by email a unique E-Learning code (this will be received within 24hrs of attendance). You can then log on to our E-Learning portal to complete the final part of the course.  You will be taken through a series of interactive learning pages. Your E-Learning can be stopped and saved at anytime enabling you to complete it flexibly at your convenience and in the comfort of your own home. Please note that this module must be completed within 4 weeks of attending the class room training.

At the end of the E-learning you will be asked to complete a simple assessment; once successfully completed your Certificate will be sent by post.

What happens if I book for the 6 hr Intensive Course but want to upgrade to the 12 hr or BTEC Level 2?

Simple - if you decide after taking our 6hr Intensive Course for Nannies, Au Pairs or Maternity Nurses that you wish to upgrade to the 12hr you just select the upgrade option when you enter our E-Learning Portal.  You will then be asked to make a further payment before continuing.

What happens if I lose my certificate?

All our certificates are sent by registered post.  If you have require a replacement just simply call our admin team who will arrange this for you.  Please note there is a £10 charge for a replacement certificate.

What happens if I book the course but can't attend?

Unfortunately as our classes are restricted to 12 delegates unless 48 hours notice is given then you will have to pay again to attend another course.
